Interactive 3D trainers

Browser-based 3D trainers for two machines on an aseptic line: orbit the model, pick any part to see what it is and does, step through the cycle, and practise on a rebuilt teach-in HMI.

The project

The machine, explained by the machine.

Each trainer is the machine’s 3D model running in the browser. Orbit, pan and zoom around it; hover or pick a part and it highlights, with its name, its sensors and what it does in a panel beside it.

Stations come with their own explanations and photos, parts can be hidden to see inside, and numbered steps play the cycle one stage at a time. The second version of the debagger trainer added that guided sequence.

Teach-in trainer

Practise a teach-in without touching the robot.

Teaching a robot its positions is done from its HMI, one axis at a time. The teach-in trainer rebuilds those screens and connects them to a 3D view of the gripper arm, shown from the front, top and side, so every jog of an axis moves the model.
